As part of my fellowship with PublicMediaCorps, I worked with groups of middle and high schoolers from CentroNía at the Hirshhorn’s ArtLab and the Natural History Museum. They were just learning about audio and video editing, so I got to coach them through lighting, shooting, even using some special effects that I had never had to use before in my journalism work.
It’s just amazing how quickly kids pick this kind of stuff up and really excel at it once they’re having fun. These two are my favorite videos, but you can also check out the Hirshhorn and Natural History Museum sites.
